Block prints & cotton
Natural dyes may bleed in the first two washes. Wash separately in cold water with mild detergent and dry in shade.
Hand-knotted rugs
Some shedding in the first months is normal. Rotate every six months; blot spills and send for professional wash yearly.
Sheesham & lacquer
Dust with a dry cloth. Avoid water pooling. Furniture wax twice a year keeps carved wood rich.
Ceramic & glass
Khurja stoneware is food-safe and microwave-safe; avoid sudden temperature shocks. Mouth-blown glass is hand wash only.
Candles & attar
Trim to 5 mm before each burn and let the first burn reach the edges. Keep attar away from heat and sunlight.
Marble & inlay
Wipe with a damp cloth. Avoid lemon, vinegar and harsh cleaners, which etch marble.
Bone & mother-of-pearl
Keep away from moisture and heat. Do not use polish on the inlay.
Kansa & bell metal
Clean with tamarind or a non-abrasive brass cleaner. Do not use in a microwave or dishwasher.
